KANPUR:A day after his arrest was stayed by the Supreme Court, Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) MLA Abbas Ansari called on Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav in Saifai on Thursday and offered his condolences over the death of his father and SP patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav.
Abbas Ansari offered floral tributes on the picture of Mulayam Singh Yadav and later also met former MP Dharmendra Yadav. Son of jailed gangster Mukhtar Ansari, Abbas was declared an absconder by the police in a case of Arms Act pending against him. He remained underground for months as lower courts dismissed his petitions for relief.
