‘Ram Setu’ has bagged the eighth spot, after beating Aamir Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, which had earned Rs 27 crore on its festive weekend of Raksha Bandhan and Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Shamshera’, which had raked in Rs 30 crore nett. Going by this trend, ‘Ram Setu’ will also make its mark in the highest first week blockbusters of 2022.
Directed by Abhishek Sharma, ‘Ram Setu’ is an action adventure drama which features Akshay Kumar, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Jacqueline Fernandez and Satya Dev in pivotal roles. The film has earned massive collection in the Gujarat / Saurashtra, Rajasthan and CI circuits. It ahd clashed with Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra starrer ‘Thank God’ at the box office. Post ‘Ram Setu’, Akshay Kumar has a long list of interesting projects in the pipeline. He has ‘Selfiee’ with Emraan Hashmi and ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ with Tiger Shroff. Akshay has also signed up to play the lead in ‘OMG: Oh My God 2’, ‘Gorkha’ ‘Capsule Gill’ and ‘Soorarai Pottru’.
