Kanpur: Mayor Pramila Pandey on Sunday celebrated the Deepawali festival with sanitary warriors and distributed earthen lamps and oil to them . Mayor is visiting personally each ward this year and distributing earthen lamps and oil to weaker sections of the society. Her target is to disburse lamps and oil to around one lakh needy persons so that they too could celebrate the festival of light. According to Kanpur Municipal corporation sources Mayor convened a meeting with sanitary workers employed in KMC and after wishing them Deepawali she presented them ,lamps and “ Kheel & Gatta” and asked them to keep clean the vicinity of their houses.
