Akhilesh Yadav, Wife Dimple And Children Pray At Banke Bihari Temple In Vrindavan | Kanpur News


Kanpur: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday reached Mathura with his family and paid obeisance at the Banke Bihari temple in Vrindavan.
Akhilesh also had a spiritual discussion with Swami Vigyanacharya after seeking blessings from him.
During this he stayed away from political rhetoric.
It was Akhilesh’s first visit to Mathura after the death of SP patron and his father Mulayam Singh Yadav.
SP president was accompanied by his wife Dimple Yadav, son Arjun, daughter Tina and Aditi, besides cousin Dharmendra Yadav.
On the occasion, Akhilesh said that he has come to seek the blessings of Banke Bihari ji on the festival of Deepotsav.
Later, he and other family members also took part in Deepdan ceremony at the temple and took blessings by offering ‘Chhapan Bhog’ to Lord Banke Bihari.
After this, Akhilesh reached Swami Vigyanacharya’s ashram located in Sant Colony, where he met Swami Vigyanacharya and took blessings and also had a spiritual discussion.
SP leaders including former party MLA Pradeep Mathur welcomed him.
Earlier, on Monday on the occasion of Diwali, Akhilesh had reached the samadhi site of Mulayam with family in Saifai and paid homage to the departed soul by lighting ‘diyas’ (earthen lamp).
Besides Akhilesh, SP’s national general secretary professor Ram Gopal Yadav and cousins Dharmendra Yadav and Anshul Yadav and nephew and former Mainpuri MP Tej Pratap Yadav were also present. They too paid tribute to Mulayam.
